WELL KNOWN IN TEXAS & WYOMING - Abraxas Petroleum Corporation (AMEX: ABP) engages in the development and production of natural gas and crude oil in the United States. It operates in south and west Texas and east central Wyoming. As of December 31, 2005, it owned interests in 102,356 gross acres. As of the same date, the company’s proved reserves included 3,084 MBbls of crude oil and 86,203 MMcf of natural gas. As of the above date, it also operated 155 crude oil wells and 85 natural gas wells. Abraxas Petroleum Corporation was founded in 1977 and is based in San Antonio, Texas.
MANY TALK ABOUT THEM IN GEORGIA - AGL Resources (NYSE: ATG) an Atlanta-based energy services holding company, serves 2.2 million customers in six states through its utility subsidiaries - Atlanta Gas Light, Elizabethtown Gas in New Jersey, Virginia Natural Gas, Florida City Gas, Chattanooga Gas, and Elkton Gas in Maryland.

WELL KNOWN IN TEXAS - Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) engages in the exploration, development, production, and marketing of natural gas, crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids primarily in the United States. As of December 31, 2005, Anadarko had proved reserves of 7.9 trillion cubic feet of natural gas; and 1.1 billion barrels of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The company also purchases natural gas, crude oil, and NGL volumes for resale, as well as owns and operates seven gas gathering systems in its primary producing areas. In addition, it involves in the hard minerals business in several coal, trona, and industrial mineral mines.
